1: Fentanyl Awareness Task Force

Our Fentanyl Awareness Task Force is focused on spreading awareness of the overdose crisis in the broader community. The goal is to increase awareness and educate our youth, young adults, and broader community about the dangers of illicit fentanyl to prevent overdoses, save lives, and contribute to a safer and healthier community.

Media Campaign

Plan and implement a multi-faceted media campaign to raise public awareness about the risks of fentanyl and how to prevent overdoses.

School Presentations

Develop age-appropriate materials and launch a collaborative approach to educate adolescents on the dangers of fentanyl, the signs of an opioid overdose, and how to administer naloxone.

Outreach Events

Organize and participate in local community outreach events to broaden countywide awareness of overdose prevention resources.

2: Naloxone Distribution Task Force

Our Naloxone Distribution Task Force is focused on making free naloxone (Narcan® and Amneal) available across Napa County. The goal is to increase awareness, education, and access to this important tool in the fight against opioid overdoses.

Distribution Boxes

Implement distribution boxes to offer free naloxone and fentanyl test strips in strategically planned locations across Napa County.

Naloxone Trainings

Develop and launch formal trainings for community-based organizations on naloxone administration and procurement.

Outreach Events

Distribute free naloxone kits and provide personalized training and education at community outreach events.
